Sending a crew to the Novo Nordisk expansion at Athlone? Tell us your dates, headcount and vehicle needs and we will source long-stay housing across the midlands.

Novo Nordisk announced an investment of EUR 432 million in March 2026 to expand and retrofit its manufacturing facility at Athlone in the Irish midlands, to produce the tablet form of its Wegovy therapy. The works cover a 45 acre site, had already begun at announcement, and are due to be finalised gradually from the end of 2027 into 2028.
The company says the project will create up to 500 construction jobs, with Irish reporting citing up to 600. That is a large temporary workforce for a town the size of Athlone, and pharma retrofits bring specialist mechanical, electrical, clean utility and validation crews on long assignments. Local long-stay supply is limited and shared with tourism along the Shannon, so the practical catchment reaches Mullingar, Roscommon and Tullamore.
We source long-stay accommodation for teams with confirmed work at the Athlone site, balancing drive time, parking and cost across the midlands.
We assess practical locations across Athlone, Mullingar, Roscommon and Tullamore based on your actual site access, commute, crew size, parking and accommodation standards rather than a generic city search.
We can source for specialist rotations, staggered arrivals, multi-month assignments and extensions as packages move through the programme, subject to live availability.
We look for accommodation with kitchens, laundry, reliable WiFi, parking and suitable bedroom configurations for sustained assignments.
