What a crew bed actually costs per night in Europe

Per-person, per-night rates we actually arranged

Client-side nightly rate divided by the number of people housed. Only markets with five or more bookings are shown, with sample sizes, because at these volumes a single unusual property moves a mean.

Two patterns are worth more than the individual numbers:

• Occupancy, not city, is the biggest lever. Germany's whole-unit median was €140 a night but €72 per person — the spread inside a single market comes mostly from how many people share a unit, which is a specification decision made before anyone searches for a price.
• Consistency varies more than price. The Netherlands (€42–47) and the UK (£85–100) are predictable; Slovakia (€19–45) and Italy (€22–48) are not. In thin markets the budget risk is variance, not the median.

Direction of travel

EUR bookings by month of check-in, per person per night: €33 (Jan 2026), €48 (Feb), €42 (Mar), €42 (Apr), €47 (May), €50 (Jun), €54 (Jul), €47 (Aug). Monthly samples are small (4–21 bookings), so read this as a mild upward drift through H1 2026, not a trend line — and note that summer peaks reflect leisure competition for the same stock in several of these markets.

Method and limits

Population: 177 bookings arranged by Bonjour Residences with check-in dates from May 2025 to September 2026; 123 had both a nightly rate and a recorded headcount, and per-market figures use those. Rates are client-side, in the booking currency, and are not converted between currencies. They include the property and its stated inclusions and exclude project-specific extras. Bonjour Residences arranges accommodation with independent operators and does not own the properties described; rates reflect what was contracted at the time, in specific towns near industrial project sites, not national averages.
