Eastern Green Link 2 is a £4.3bn, 2 GW HVDC link of about 505 km between Peterhead in Aberdeenshire and Drax in North Yorkshire, delivered by National Grid Electricity Transmission and SSEN Transmission, with Hitachi Energy and BAM on the converter stations. Construction began on 26 September 2024.
