Bordeaux and Gironde
Furnished, self-catering apartments and houses across Bordeaux Métropole and Gironde for contractor and project teams staying a month or longer, arranged on one contract and one invoice.
The short version
The work is on the edges, not in the centre. Rail works run south through Bègles, Villenave-d'Ornon and Cadaujac. The industrial load is north and on the right bank: the port zone at Bassens, the EMME refinery at Grattequina, aerospace at Mérignac. And 45 km up the estuary sits the Blayais nuclear plant, which is car-only.
So the useful question is not "somewhere in Bordeaux" but which suburb puts your crew closest to the gate with parking for the vans. Bonjour Residences is an independent agency. We do not own units. We source them from a vetted partner network, including local owners who never list online, and we stand behind the booking, the invoice and the support for the length of the stay.
In the ground now
| Project | Where | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Rail works south of Bordeaux, part of the Ligne Nouvelle du Sud-Ouest | Bègles, Villenave-d'Ornon, Cadaujac | In construction since autumn 2024, 28% complete May 2026, a new structure and a workers' base at Bègles due summer 2026, main-works tendering launching in 2026, service by 2032 (LNSO · Gironde prefecture, 1 Sep 2026) |

| Bassens port industrial zone | Bassens, right bank | 900 ha zone, around 110 companies, on a rolling decarbonisation programme; a €23.8m CVE biomethane plant was commissioned in January 2026 and inaugurated on 8 September 2026 (Aquitaine Online, 11 Sep 2026) |

Blayais is a pipeline item, not a committed project, and we say so. Where an operator has not published a construction headcount, such as the rail works, we do not estimate one.
Where crews live
The tram network was restructured on 6 December 2025, which changed the sensible answer. Line E now runs from Gare de Blanquefort to Floirac Dravemont over 19.3 km and 29 stops, line F links Gare de Bègles and Gare Saint-Jean to Mérignac Aéroport in about 45 minutes end to end, and line A serves Le Haillan, Lormont, Bassens and Carbon-Blanc (Bordeaux Métropole).
Bassens, Lormont, Carbon-Blanc. Right bank, next to the port industrial zone, on tram A. Bordeaux centre to Bassens is around 10 to 11 km.
Blanquefort and Bruges. North, closest to the EMME site at Grattequina and to the Bordeaux-Lac business area, with tram E running to Gare de Blanquefort. Around 10 to 12 km from the centre.
Bègles and Villenave-d'Ornon. South, on the rail works corridor itself, with tram F from Gare de Bègles.
Mérignac. West, for aerospace work, on tram A and tram F to the airport.
These suburbs also give crews more realistic van and utility-vehicle parking than the dense historic centre. Distances above come from the transport sources; drive times are traffic-dependent estimates and we do not publish them as facts. For Blayais there is no useful rail link, so plan on cars from the right bank.
Rules and cost lines
Long crew stays have their own lease type. France's bail mobilité, introduced by the loi ELAN, covers furnished lets of one to ten months for people on temporary work, training or assignment. It is a standard furnished lease, not a meublé de tourisme, so it sits outside the registration, quota and tourist-let rules (Service-Public). A November 2025 law extends it to 18 months in new employment-purpose residences, pending the implementing decree. Tourist lets are the tighter regime: a registration number on every listing, and a changement d'usage authorisation with compensation for non-primary residences (Ville de Bordeaux). We tell you which regime each option is offered under.
Taxe de séjour is a per-person, per-night line. Bordeaux Métropole's 2026 rates run from €0.20 to €4.90 per person per night by category, with unclassified accommodation charged at 5% of the price capped at €4.90, and a 34% regional additional tax applies on top (official Bordeaux Métropole rates). Declaration is monthly and online. We show the tax as its own line rather than burying it.
Timing
The Foire Internationale de Bordeaux takes the Parc des Expositions in late May. The Marathon de Bordeaux returns on Sunday 8 November 2026 with around 27,000 runners expected. The biggest squeeze on the horizon is 7 to 11 July 2027, when Bordeaux Fête le Vin coincides with the Tall Ships Races departure, which is expected to pull well above the usual half-million visitors (festival site). If your programme straddles that week, book early.
Process
Send the requirement. Site address, team size, dates, budget. A gate address and a headcount is enough to start.
Get tailored options. Sourced from partners in the right part of Gironde, including owners who do not list online.
Confirm once. We handle booking coordination, contracts and staggered check-ins with every owner.
We hold the line. One channel for your team, one invoice for finance, for the length of the stay.
For finance and procurement
One consolidated VAT-compliant invoice covering every property on the project, in your currency where we can, with the taxe de séjour shown as its own line.
Corporate contracts run on 30-day payment terms. No personal cards exposed and no individual receipts for site staff to file.
One onboarding, one set of compliance documents, one contact, instead of a new vendor for every commune. See pricing for how rates are built.
We match the stay length to the right contract type in the local market. Clients have saved 20-30% by using the correct market for the length of stay.
Coverage
Contractor accommodation hub · all locations · data centre construction · semiconductor fabs · pharma commissioning · energy, nuclear and tunnel crews
Also in France: contractor accommodation Paris and contractor accommodation Lyon. For French-speaking bookers, the Pass Équipes explains how repeat crew bookings work.
Questions
Yes, and we source on the right bank or nearer Blaye rather than in central Bordeaux, because it is a car-only run of roughly 45 km. Note that the EPR2 pair there is still a candidate site, with the government decision expected by the end of 2026.
Teams of 1 to 200+, handled as one coordinated booking. Bordeaux requirements usually land between 4 and 40 people for one month to a year.
No. Bonjour Residences is an independent agency. We source from a vetted partner network, including local owners who do not list online, and we stand behind the booking, the invoice and the support.
Bassens, Lormont and Carbon-Blanc, all on tram A and around 10 to 11 km from the centre. For the EMME refinery and Bordeaux-Lac, Blanquefort and Bruges on tram E.
Usually not. A stay of one to ten months for someone on assignment fits the bail mobilité, which is an ordinary furnished lease rather than a tourist let. Tourist lets need a registration number and, for non-primary residences, a change-of-use authorisation.
It is shown as its own per-person, per-night line. Bordeaux Métropole's 2026 rates run from €0.20 to €4.90 per person per night, with a 34% regional addition on top.
Late May for the Foire Internationale, 8 November 2026 for the marathon, and above all 7 to 11 July 2027 when Fête le Vin coincides with the Tall Ships Races.
