ASML is building its second industrial campus at Brainport Industries Campus North in Eindhoven, on about 35 hectares next to Eindhoven Airport and about 7 km from its Veldhoven headquarters. The campus is planned at about 350,000 square metres in phases, with space for up to 20,000 workers in the long term, and ASML paid €171m for the land. Eindhoven council approved the zoning plan on 10 March 2026 and ASML officially started construction on 8 September 2026.
The first phase includes a factory building and an office building. Local press reports the first factories due to operate in early 2028 under heavy schedule pressure, while Reuters gives 2029 for completion of phase 1, including cleanroom space. Housing is already tight. Eindhoven expects to need about 20,000 extra homes by 2030 because of ASML's growth, and in Veldhoven, with 48,424 residents, a single rental flat draws 1,400 to 1,600 responses.
