The short version

Why long projects need a different kind of booking

A project that runs for months needs a different kind of accommodation from a two-night site visit. Hotels get expensive and tiring, booking platforms were built for holidays, and a residential lease asks for twelve months and a deposit per person.

The same room can sit in three markets at once: nightly stock priced for travellers, monthly furnished lets priced for people staying weeks or months, and residential leases priced for a year or more. Most crews on long projects end up booked nightly because that is what is easiest to find online.

We start from the length of the job and search the market that fits it. Clients have saved 20-30% by using the correct market for the length of stay.

What long stays need

What crews staying for months actually need

A kitchen that gets used

Over months, eating out every night costs more than the room and wears the crew down. Every option has a real kitchen.

Laundry and storage

A washing machine in the property or close by, and space for work clothes and personal kit.

Parking and the commute

Van parking, and a drive to site measured in real minutes from the site gate, not from the town centre.

Rooms that suit the team

Private rooms where people stay for months, shared houses where the crew prefers it and the budget needs it.

Rotations and extensions

Crews rotate, packages start and finish at different times, and projects overrun. We hold the flexibility in the booking, not in the contract.

Someone on the end of the phone

Your workers message us on WhatsApp when the boiler fails on a Sunday, and we deal with the owner.

Process

How a booking runs

1

Send the requirement

Location, team size, dates, budget. A site postcode and a headcount is enough to start.

2

Get tailored options

Typically within 24 hours, sourced from partners in that market rather than pulled off a platform.

3

Confirm once

We handle booking coordination, contracts and staggered check-ins with every property owner.

4

We hold the line

One WhatsApp channel for your crew, one invoice for your finance team, for the length of the stay.

In practice

How this works on real projects

Irish industrial contractor

★★★★★

An Irish industrial contractor mobilising a crew to Limerick, on a project running from early July into August.

The Challenge

Eleven people needed furnished beds in Limerick from early July, held for a project running into August, with the crew housed close enough to the site to travel together. It was peak summer season, when Limerick prices are at their highest, and the market is small with a student-heavy supply base. Almost nothing was bookable at that size and duration through hotels or platforms, and no one was offering eleven beds held at a fixed rate for the length of the project.

The Solution

We sourced direct from local owners rather than platforms: three four-bed houses, close enough to the site for the crew to travel together, held at a fixed rate for the length of the project. Seven days from brief to start date, staggered check-ins coordinated with the owners, one WhatsApp channel during the stay, and one consolidated VAT-compliant invoice on 30-day terms. The stay came in 42 percent under what the same crew would have cost in short-stay inventory.

AIS Vanguard, part of Ainscough Industrial Services, is one of the UK's leading machinery relocation companies, delivering projects across Europe and the United States.

The Challenge

Their accommodation needs were often last-minute and spread across multiple locations, typically requiring upfront card payments, pulling project managers into day-to-day coordination with multiple hosts, and creating language barriers that made issues harder to resolve. Invoicing was fragmented, receipts had to be chased, and there was no leverage on rates or payment terms.

The Solution

Bonjour became their accommodation partner across the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, USA and beyond. We work with individual project teams to source accommodation tailored to the client's preferences, coordinate check-in and check-out directly with workers, and handle any property issues via WhatsApp during the stay. AIS Vanguard now benefits from one point of contact, consolidated VAT-compliant invoicing in their local currency, no upfront card payments and smoother multi-country delivery.

Questions

Frequently asked

What counts as a long-term project for accommodation?

Anything that keeps a crew away from home for more than a few weeks. Once a stay passes about a month, monthly furnished lets usually become cheaper and more practical than hotels or nightly bookings.

How much can we save by booking monthly instead of nightly?

It depends on the market and the location. Clients have saved 20-30% by using the correct market for the length of stay. We show you the options side by side before you commit.

Can we extend if the project overruns?

Usually, yes. We plan for extensions from the start and agree what happens when dates move before the first night. Where an owner cannot extend, we find the next property before the crew has to leave.

Do workers have to sign a lease or pay a deposit?

No. The booking is between your company and us. There is no twelve-month lease, no deposit per person and no furniture to buy.

Can you handle crew rotations?

Yes. Rotating crews, staggered arrivals and changing headcount are normal on long projects. We book in phases and adjust as packages start and finish.

What is included in the rate?

Every option is furnished and all-inclusive: utilities, Wi-Fi, local taxes and support are in the rate. See all-inclusive worker housing for the detail.

Do you own the properties?

No. We are an independent accommodation agency. We source furnished homes from a vetted partner network and stand behind the booking, the invoice and the support for the whole stay.
