Port Polska is Poland's new national airport and rail hub, developed by the state company Centralny Port Komunikacyjny in the municipality of Baranów, Grodzisk county, about 40 km west of Warsaw. The terminal is designed by Foster + Partners. The whole programme, including rail, is budgeted at PLN 131.7bn, of which the airport accounts for about PLN 42bn. In June 2026 CPK signed Budimex for the first ground preparation phase, around 8,000 foundation piles, due to finish at the turn of 2027 and 2028.
Test piling for the passenger terminal was completed in September 2026. The start of main construction, planned for September, has slipped while site and environmental decisions are pending, and CPK now expects it in October or November 2026. The company's chief executive was replaced in July. Opening is still planned for the end of 2032, when the airport is due to take over commercial passenger traffic from Warsaw Chopin. With a build of this length, crews will base in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Żyrardów, Błonie and west Warsaw.
